How many people have One Night Stands?
So, how many people exactly have one-night stands?
Are you one in a hundred? Or is the street jammed with people like you walking on the same road?
To your relief, there’s a survey carried out by DrEd.com to find out if really a great lot of men and women are into one-night stands or not.
For this purpose, data were collected from about 500 Europeans and 500 Americans.
The results are rather shocking. Yet I’m sure you will be happy to know it if you are ashamed and guilt-ridden of your past one-night stands.
In the case of Europeans, the average number of one-night stands for men is 6 while the women lag behind a little by an average of 4 one-night stands.
The same is in the case of Americans. Here too, men advance in this scenario more than women. The average number of one night stands experience of American men is 7, while for American women it’s 6.
According to the survey carried out by DrEd.com, 66% of the total participants agreed that they have had at least one-night stand in their lifetime.
If 66% of 1000 people had at least one one-night stand, that means around 660 people out of 1000.
Mind you, most of them did it more than once and still continue to do it.
This is a huge number, right? Isn’t it fascinating?
To add to that, not everyone is honest when it comes to boldly accept if they ever had a one-night stand. That means that the number is much more than you can think.
The people who were open enough to accept indulging in one-night stands were also ready to share their views on how the experience was for them.
You may be eager to know how people feel during one-night stands.
As most of these happen after people are heavily drunk and have no control over their senses, they hate themselves and are ridden with guilt the day after.
Though, this is not the case for everyone. Some people get drunk to open up a bit and have a really great time while having a short sexual encounter. They look forward to having more such experiences in the future.
I have some great one-night statistics in store for you! Let’s dive a bit deep to know about them:
One Night Stands Statistics of 2021

When it comes to the point that if one night stands really satisfy their demands, then here are the statistics that tell the whole story –
When it comes to Europeans, men were much more satisfied with one-night stands in comparison to women. The difference is a drastic 38 percent for men and 16 percent for women.
Talking about the Americans, here too the men were more satisfied (32%) than the women (18%).
Where do these people go to find potential one-night stand experiences?
Europeans find clubs to be the best place for one-night stand experiences while the Americans think it’s the bars.
About 47% of European women and 42% of European men prefer clubs to take their one-night stand partners’ home.
About 40% of Americans prefer bars to find their one-night stand partners for the night. The number of Europeans choosing bars as their hook-up point was less than 30%.
According to the survey, the least favorite place for people to find one-night stand partners is their workplace.
When asked if they look for someone for a one-night stand in their offices, the Americans didn’t find the idea great at all while only 4% of Europeans were in favor of having a one-night stand partner from their workplace.
How many people go back to talk to their one-night stand partner?
Though, it’s not a good idea to go back to your one-night stand partner. Some people do not have any issues in doing this.
But Americans are more inclined towards not talking to their one-night stand partners again as according to the survey, 43% of them didn’t keep any communication with their partners after the night.
The Europeans were a lot cooler about this as only 29% of them did not keep any communication with their one-night stand partners.
How common is it for people to discuss their one-night stand with their close friends?
39% of European men and 45% of women would not like to discuss nor inform about their one-night experience with anyone, not even their close friends.
Americans are not very different in this approach. Here, 34% of men and 42% of women would do the same.
However, there are the rest 49% of European men and 58% of American men who would love to discuss it with their friends.
The women too seem to love talking about it to a few close friends as 48% of European women and 54% of American women agree to share their experience with their friends.
Are people judged for one night stands?
The people who never had a one-night stand are more likely to judge you.
But that doesn’t mean that you will be soared by the people who themselves had a one-night stand.
17% of European men and 14% of American men were of the opinion that they would judge others even if they have the experience of a one-night stand.
The women appeared to be more judgemental than the men and 25% of European women and 21% of American women agreed that they would judge someone else for their one-night stand even if they walked the same path in the past.
While women were more likely to disapprove of their friends for their experiences, men didn’t really care about it and stayed neutral in offering disapproval.
To your relief, not everyone was unsupportive of their friend’s actions.
Some of them were also proud of their friends for their experiences. 8% of women congratulated their girlfriends for their one-night stand experience and 6% of them were happy for their male friends.
In the case of guys, 20% of them congratulate their male friends but only 9% of them congratulate their female friends.
The results show that both men and women are judged for their experiences, but women taste the bitter disapproval much more than their male counterparts.
